The method matters
A finger-stick at a kiosk and a full automated analyzer can give different answers. We use the right method for each test and stand behind how it was run.

Outside the reference range is not automatically abnormal. It means your value sits outside the middle 95 percent of people who were sampled. What matters is which marker, by how much, and your full picture. Some shifts mean nothing; a few mean act now. Knowing the difference is the point.
A little high can simply follow a recent infection, stress, or exercise; a little low can follow a viral illness or certain medications. On its own, a small shift usually means very little.
A common range is roughly 4 to 11. Being just outside it is often not a problem by itself.
